Head of Training
Donna Martin is a certified Alexander Technique instructor recognized by the American Society for the Alexander Technique (AmSAT), the largest professional organization of its kind in the United States.
Since completing the 3-year AmSAT training course in 2004, she has furthered her study of technique under the guidance of her mentor, Karen Wentworth— a world renowned and innovative teacher and teacher-trainer of the Alexander Technique based in London, England.
Donna has taught informal Alexander Technique classes at The University of Texas at Austin and worked with musicians attending the university’s Butler School of Music. She’s also worked with music students at Baylor University and conducted workshops for musical theatre students at Texas State University.
A former dancer, Donna previously taught ballet and modern dance at Houston Community College, Houston’s High School for the Performing and Visual Arts, and the Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts in Dallas, Texas.
After earning a B.F.A. in Ballet from Texas Christian University, Donna studied modern dance at the Merce Cunningham School in New York City and with members of the José Limón Dance Company.
Donna’s education and experience have allowed her to work with a variety of students in many settings over the past nineteen years. Her overall goal is to assist people in experiencing greater ease in their movement and posture and to help them find ways of reducing pain and preventing injury..

Sarah Silva Peace is an AmSAT certified teacher of the Alexander Technique who maintains a robust private practice in South/Central Texas. She is well known for her master classes for classical musicians, and is sought after as a clinician, guest lecturer, and corporate wellness consultant. In addition to her Alexander Technique certification, Sarah holds a Masters Degree in Music, emphasis in Vocal Performance.
Sarah’s recent engagements outside of her private practice include work with UCLA Medical, UCLA East-West Medicine, Chapman University Hall-Musco Conservatory of Music, California State University Fullerton Conservatory of Music, University of California Irvine Choral Department, California State University Northridge Physical Therapy Department, Orange County School of the Arts, Los Angeles Children’s Chorus, and National Children’s Chorus.
Sarah has worked with Principle Chairs of the Pacific Symphony, the Hollywood Bowl Symphony, and the LA Opera orchestra as well as members of the Metropolitan Opera Orchestra, the Philadelphia Orchestra, professional studio musicians (instrumental and vocal), and professional actors. Sarah also has experienceworking with various populations including musicians, actors, artists, athletes, film makers, yoga teachers, martial artists, physical therapists, and children as well as those with anxiety, recent joint replacements, neuropathy, repetitive strain injury, and back pain.
